When you (I) spend time with Jesus in prayer, in reading the Bible, in going to church, in ministering in various ways, is our (my) focus on Jesus, others, or you (me)? When we pray, are we "carrying" the conversation, doing all the talking, or do we let Jesus (through the Word and the Holy Spirit) get a word in? When we pray and read the Bible, are our thoughts on our own point of view and what we want to think about, or do we consider the point of view of Jesus, and what He would like to communicate to us. When we go to church, is our mind on how people may be viewing us; is it on how we are viewing them, is it on things around us that we can see, or are we using our spirit to focus on God in worship, praise, and with an openness to how He may be wanting to speak to us or direct us. If we are ministering in some way, is it to get recognition and praise from others, is it just to be helpful to others, or is it to be of real service to the Lord? "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee." Isa 26:3 "...in all thy ways acknowledge him,..." Pro 3:6
